A small, dedicated team of gardeners who genuinely love what they grow.
FoliaBound began in 2010 when founder Claire Weston started helping neighbours in her Lynchburg street with their overgrown front yards. What started as weekend work with a pair of hand shears and genuine enthusiasm quickly grew into a full-service gardening company.
The name says it simply: we are bound to the foliage β to the dirt, the seasons, and the quiet satisfaction of watching something flourish. Over fourteen years we have built relationships with over 1,200 clients across Lynchburg and Central Virginia, and our commitment to honest, thoughtful service has not changed a bit.
Today the FoliaBound team includes horticultural specialists, irrigation technicians, and landscape designers who work together on every project from first sketch to final planting.
We prioritise native plants, organic soil treatments, and water-conscious design because a garden should contribute to its environment, not strain it.
We give straightforward advice and realistic timelines. If a design idea will not work in your soil or light conditions, we will tell you plainly β and offer a better alternative.
From spacing transplants correctly to finishing bed edges cleanly, small things add up. We hold ourselves to the same standard in a back-corner border as in a front showpiece bed.
Horticulture evolves. Our team attends training, reads the research, and regularly trialling new techniques β so your garden benefits from current knowledge, not outdated habits.
We are a Lynchburg business first. We source plants from regional nurseries, hire locally, and participate in community greening initiatives across the city.
We design gardens that improve over time, not just look good at installation. Every choice we make is weighed against how the space will look in two, five, and ten years.
Our team combines formal horticultural training with years of practical experience in Virginia's specific growing conditions.
